Last year we got in contact with an out of state owner who owned a home in one of our local markets (Marietta, GA). He lived out of state, hadn’t visited the house in years and he had long term tenants who decided they wanted to purchase a home of their home. He had lots of options, he could try getting another renter, but given its current state he wouldn’t have been able to get market rent rate, he could list it for sale with his friend who was a local real estate agent, but that could have resulted in him having to make costly repairs to the home. In line with exploring all his options, he decided to ask us for a cash offer. In the end, he decided to go with us. He wanted a specific closing date which we were able to accommodate. He never even had to come into town for closing or to give us the keys as we worked that out with the previous tenants. In the end, we had a happy seller and a great transaction. Our team went on to get the home fixed up and sold to a new homeowner. Below are the before and after pictures.
